Are you ready for an adventure to the happiest place on earth? Our family certainly is! Especially our youngest daughter couldn’t contain her excitement as soon as she heard that we were planning a trip to Disneyland Paris. But when she found out that we would be staying at the New York Marvel Hotel, her enthusiasm reached a whole new level. And let’s be honest, we all couldn't wait to see the hotel inspired by favourite superheroes, and experience all the magic and wonder of Disneyland Paris.

The Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel is the perfect hotel for families looking for a unique experience while visiting Disneyland Paris. As soon as you step into the lobby, you'll be transported to the world of Marvel Comics, with life-sized Iron Man and Captain America figures standing guard over the front desk.

In addition to their superhero theme, the rooms at the New York Hotel in Disneyland Paris offer a variety of other amenities and features to ensure that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a mini-fridge. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel, so guests can stay connected and share their Disney experience with friends and family. The hotel offers different room configurations, including standard rooms, executive rooms and suites.

We stay at a standard room, which is spacious and comfortable, and choose for the option of two double beds. The executive rooms offer additional amenities such as a seating area, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a VIP Fast pass for each guest. The suites are the most luxurious option, with separate living areas and bedrooms, as well as a whirlpool tub and a private balcony. For families with young children, the hotel offers special amenities such as cots and baby changing facilities upon request. Some of the family rooms also have bunk beds, perfect for families with older children.

Although we arrive after dark, we’re still able to get a glimpse of the Lake Disney from our room. This man-made lake is in the heart of Disneyland Paris, covers an area of approximately 20 acres and is the second-largest body of water in the Seine-et-Marne department of France. The lake is surrounded by picturesque landscapes, such as gardens, trees and walkways, making it a popular spot for visitors to take a leisurely stroll or relax and take in the scenery. There are several walking paths and bridges around the lake that provide easy access to various parts of the Disneyland Paris resort.

If you arrive early at the hotel, you will be in for a treat as one of the highlights of the New York Marvel Hotel is the on-site restaurant, which offers a range of delicious and affordable meals throughout the day. There are also plenty of other dining options in the surrounding area, making it easy to find something for even the pickiest eaters in your family. In addition to its great restaurant, the New York Marvel Hotel offers a lot for families. There's an on-site arcade and game room, a huge pool as well as a gift shop where you can pick up all kinds of Marvel-themed souvenirs. And for parents who need a break, there's even an on-site spa where you can relax and unwind while the kids are off exploring.

If you have the time…!

Proximity is one of the other great points of the New York Marvel Hotel. It is just a short walk from the parks, making it easy to come and go as you please. There's also a free shuttle service that runs regularly between the hotel and the parks, making it even easier to get around.

After we sleep like babies, early morning it is time to get to the parks. Disneyland Paris is divided into two main sections: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Each park has its own unique attractions, entertainment and dining options. We decide to split our time between the two parks to get the full experience. First, if you're looking for some thrill rides, you won't be disappointed with the Walt Disney Studios Park which has some amazing rides that really got our heart racing. One of the highlights of the day is definitely the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which takes you on a creepy elevator ride up and then drops you down a total of 13 stories. It's definitely worth it for the real thrill seekers. And be reassured: we all survived it!

We are also a big fan of the Ratatouille ride is which is inspired by the beloved Disney-Pixar movie Ratatouille and takes visitors on an adventure through the streets and kitchens of Paris. As we board the special "ratmobiles," we are immediately immersed in the world of Ratatouille. The ride combines 3D animation, special effects and practical sets to create an interactive and engaging experience that is sure to delight visitors of all ages. As we travel through the kitchen and restaurant of Gusteau's, we feel like we had been shrunk down to the size of a rat. One of the highlights of the Ratatouille ride is the final scene, where we enter a room with a giant screen featuring a 3D animation of a rat running through the streets of Paris. The ratmobiles moves in sync with the animation, creating an unforgettable finale to the ride.

Aside from the rides, there are plenty of other experiences that will keep you entertained. We highly recommend checking out the various shows, especially the stunt shows, which are always a hit with teenagers. The Moteurs... Action! Stunt Show Spectacular and the Marvel Super Heroes United shows are both action-packed. One of our favourite things about Walt Disney Studios Park is the theming and attention to detail. The park is full of references to classic and modern movies, and it's a lot of fun to spot them.

After hours of family fun we still got one more park to go. Disneyland Park is the original park at Disneyland Paris and is inspired by the classic Disney theme parks in California and Florida. The park is divided into five lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland and Discoveryland.

With both daughters still pumped up by an overdose of adrenaline first, we tackle Space Mountain, which is a high-speed rollercoaster that takes you on a thrilling journey through space. The ride starts off with a dramatic launch that propels you through the darkness at incredible speeds, with drops, loops, and special effects that create a truly immersive experience. We love the feeling of weightlessness as we soar through the twists and turns of the track, and the breath-taking views of the park from the top of the ride. Next up was Thunder Mountain, a classic wild-west themed coaster that takes you on a high-speed journey through a haunted mine and the rugged wilderness. The ride features dips, turns, and surprises that kept us on the edge of our seats, and we love the feeling of the wind in our hair as we race through the mountain.

Besides these hair rising attractions Disneyland Park is home to many other classic Disney attractions, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, The Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril and Peter Pan's Flight, as well as iconic Disney characters like Mickey and Minny Mouse.

One of the things that we love about Disneyland Park is that it is so easy to navigate. The park is laid out in a circular shape with the different "lands" branching off of the central hub. One of the most iconic sights is Sleeping Beauty Castle. Not the first, second or even third thing on the wish list for the average teenager, it definitely has a magical appeal for the little ones. Its grandeur, beauty and unique features make it a beloved landmark and a symbol of the park's wonder. The castle is adorned with turrets, towers, and spires, and features intricate details and decorations that make it truly unique. One of the most impressive features of the castle is the dragon that lives beneath it. The dragon is a massive animatronic creature that can be seen breathing smoke and fire, and it's a popular attraction in its own right. Visitors can walk through the dragon's lair, which is a dark and spooky experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression. The castle is home to a beautiful stained-glass window that depicts the story of the famous princess, as well as a gallery of paintings and tapestries that showcase different scenes from the story. Visitors can also climb the stairs to the top of the castle, where they will be rewarded with breath-taking views of the park and surrounding area. From the top of the castle, you can see all the way to the Eiffel Tower, and it's a great spot for photos and selfies.

When it comes to dining at Disneyland Paris, there is no shortage of options. One of the most popular dining options at the park is the character dining experiences. These experiences allow visitors to enjoy a meal while interacting with their favourite Disney characters. Some of the most popular character dining experiences include the Princess Lunch at Auberge de Cendrillon and the Character Breakfast at Plaza Gardens Restaurant.

For quick snacks and on-the-go options, visitors can choose from a variety of food stands and kiosks located throughout the park. These stands offer a range of options, from traditional French pastries to hot dogs and burgers. Some of the most popular food stands include the Churros stand in Frontierland and the Creperie in Fantasyland. Those looking for a more formal dining experience, the park offers several restaurants that serve high-quality cuisine in elegant settings. Some of the most popular fine dining restaurants include the California Grill in the Disneyland Hotel and Walt's - an American Restaurant on Main Street.

In addition to the restaurants in the park, visitors can also dine at the Disney Village, a lively entertainment district that offers a range of dining options. Finally, it's worth mentioning that Disneyland Paris offers a range of special dining options, such as dinner shows and dessert parties.

Although we could choose to dine at one of the many excellent restaurants, sometimes the convenience of fast food is just what you need after a long day, and that's exactly what we find at the McDonald's in the park. With all the excitement and magic of the park around us, we still feel like we are part of the Disneyland Paris experience.

If you're planning a visit to without staying at one of the hotels in and around the park, we recommend arriving early to make the most of your day. Additionally, it's a good idea to download the Disneyland Paris app, which will give you real-time information on wait times, show schedules, and other park updates.

Overall, we highly recommend the New York Marvel Hotel for families looking for a fun and exciting place to stay while visiting Disneyland Paris. From its superhero-themed rooms to its unbeatable location, this hotel has everything you need.
