"Mum, Dad, there are Barbies dressed just like the lady of the hotel on our bed!” And that’s not all. The sweets and fruits on the table as well as the cute small rug sacks for our daughters immediately show the level of service provided for a family at the Langham Hotel. From housekeeping and the waiters in the restaurants downstairs up to the lovely ladies at the front desk, we are treated like royalty. Or rather, we should say just like Lady Gaga – although we are told that even when she stays here, you won’t notice her presence whatsoever.

Happy!

The 5-star luxury hotel itself is huge and grand, a piece of history at the heart of London. The Langham is located in an enormous building with typical British architectural elements. It is accurately renovated, held and managed in a great way. All personnel are polite and at the ready to cater to guests’ every need. Two restaurants and a bar are situated inside the hotel; breakfast, served in both restaurants, is a wonderful experience – both quantity and quality wise with regard to the food and the kindness and professionalism of the waiters. Nothing is left to chance and cleanness is a must for every space in the hotel.

We love the Club Lounge for its possibility to retreat during the day. We have two daughters who love to draw or read when- and wherever they can, but we also see several families with iPads in the Club Lounge. The Lounge is nice, a bit ‘clean’ but therefore spotless and with some surprisingly creative works of art. If you book a club room or a suite, you can enjoy drinks and beverages in the Club Lounge throughout the day. Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks are also included.

Our room is fantastic with a superb view of London and a bathroom the size of a tennis court. Bright and beautifully decorated with lots of closets and drawers. Match all this with high-end amenities and a super comfortable bed, and you can surely call this a luxury hotel.

Even more so, the hotel offers some small adventure, as the signs to the rooms do not always set you off in the right direction. Our kids love the search though and once you know where to go, there’s no problem at all. The Artesian Bar is quite hip and crowned as the ‘World's Best Bar’ several times in a row. Their cocktails are exquisite and worth every pound.

The location of the Langham is perfect; at the top of Regent street and a few blocks from Oxford Circus. There is a variety of convenience stores nearby such as Boots and an all-night grocery store. At the famous toy shop Hamleys, just a few minutes' walk away, our kids are totally awed by the huge selection of toys. If booked in time, Langham can even organise a VIP tour of Hamleys. Or what about a Hamleys-themed Afternoon Tea for the whole family. Besides all this, there’s also the London Zoo and Madame Tussauds, both within a short drive from the hotel. Don’t forget to ask for KidZania tickets and other holiday treats for your family. We spent a wonderful afternoon at kids’ village KidZania where our kids were transformed into nurses, firemen, stylists and cooks!

Once we had to leave the hotel, our kids showed their appreciation to the staff – as we did too. The kids both made a beautiful drawing for the hotel’s doormen. Probably because of the chitchat they used to share as well as their willingness to help us out. The staff even prepared by checking our website in advance. This all made us smile during our entire stay.

WOW

# We had an absolutely lovely and amazing experience at the Langham Hotel; we are full of praise for the complete staff because of their competence, attention and genuine care for all the guests. Prices are in line with the overall high quality of the hotel. We regard our stay here as a precious gift.

# This hotel hits all the right buttons in terms of having all the facilities you want for yourself and your family. A Club Lounge, a spa for those in need of some relaxation and also a great place to chill out after a hectic day in the city. For the kids, there’s a pool (in the process of renovation at the time of writing) and a truly child-friendly staff constantly keen to help you with whatever you may need.

# At a perfect location in London – with Hamleys, the world-famous toy store, just a small stroll away…
